CEC doesn’t agree with the affirmations according to which it is a very politicized body with little efficiency. Affirmations in this context have been made by representatives of the governing party, who referred to a report of the Commission in Venice. On the basis of this conclusion, communists intend to come back to the old modality of electing CEC, within which the majority must belong to representatives of the governing party, and not to the opposition as it is today.
\nThe vice-president of CEC, Renata Lapti, declared that she hadn’t heard anything about the recommendations of experts of the Commission from Venice which communists referred to.
\n„In exchange, OSCE believes that, in the organization by CEC of general local elections from 2007 that CEC proved to be efficient, and the activity of the Commission – transparent”, the vice-president of the Commission said, cited by DECA-press Agency.
\nShe affirms that, in over two years of activity, Cec proved to be functional and efficient.
