Th\u0435 president of the juridical board for appointment and immunities of the Parliament, Vladimir Turcan, confirmed on Thursday evening, in time of a TV program on „Moldova-1\u0403h channel, the information which is widely discussed in media in the last few days, according to which the current power could come back to the old means of constituting the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), DECA-press Agency.
\nThis means says that CEC will consist of nine members – per three representatives of the Government, Parliament and Supreme Council of the Magistracy.
\nIn this formula, CEC worked until 2005. At that moment, in exchange of the vote for Vladimir Voronin’s reelection as president, the opposition obtained the new means of constituting CEC. According to it, the opposition has got five of the four functions of members of the Commission, including the function of president and vice-president.
