On Thursday, the Municipal Council of Chisinau voted for the appointment of Nistor Grozavu in the function of deputy-mayor of the town. At the same time, the municipal forum accepted the demand of dismissal from Lucia Culev’s part from the function of vice-mayor, DECA-press Agency transmits.
\nAt the same time, the Municipal Council of Chisinau approved the decision according to which Lucia Culev will be the head of the Department of Culture.
\nNistor Grozavu’s candidature was issued by the general mayor Dorin Chirtoaca and was supported by the absolute majority of the elected councillors. Nistor Grozavu is an architect according to his profession. He was the councillor of the general mayor so far and the dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Technical University from Moldova. Grozavu will be responsible for the problems of architecture, urbanism, ground relations and constructions.
\nRequired by DECA-press Agency, Lucia Culev declared that her dismissal is explained by the fact that she has got a scholarship in the field of culture. I will have to leave for Austria for sme time, that is why I had to give up the function of deputy mayor of the town, Culev said. According to her words, the demand of dismissal was her own initiative, issued a month ago, and not a constraint.
