Moldova is to rely on the support of the EU in order to resume the negotiations in the "5+2" format. These conclusions are included in the third trimester edition of the analytical publication – "Euromonitor". <\/p>\n

In line with the publication, during the reference period, the mediators and observers made efforts to resume the political negotiations in the "5+2" format, but they remained blocked. "The political dialog between Moldova and the EU on this issue was carried out, especially with the help of EU special representative for Moldova Kalman Mizsei, who visited both Chisinau and Tiraspol during the reference period", the experts of the "Euromonitor" argue. <\/p>\n

Moldova put forward many requests, especially to the EU, in order to ensure the transparency in the process of identifying a mechanism. The Moldovan party has also continued to consult the mediators and observers on the "package of offers" in the Transnistrian conflict. <\/p>\n

\"\"At the same time, the authors of the analysis argue that the most successful activity related to this has been achieved by the EU Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukrainia (EUBAM) which contributed to the process of the Transnistrian conflict settlement, ensuring an efficient control on the border between Moldova and Ukraine. The monitoring and expertise carried out by the EUBAM contributed substantially to the establishment and application of the mechanism on the basis of which the agents in the security zone have access to commercial preferences of the EU. <\/p>\n
