The leader of the Transnistrian communist party, Oleg Horjan, was condemned on Tuesday by a law court from Tiraspol to 1,5 years’ imprisonment with the suspension of punishment. He was fined with 1060 local roubles, DECA-press Agency transmits. <\/p>\n

The punishment received from the part of the Tiraspol authorities is the result of the organization of some unauthorized actions of protest and resistance against the police. The sentence may be attacked in a term of seven days. <\/p>\n

At the trial, the leader of the political faction affirmed that the Transnistrian authorities had condemned him because „they are afraid of something”.
