The European integration makes Moldova be more attractive for the Transnistrian region "and it helps, somehow, push it towards a stronger integration", European Union representative for Moldova Kalman Mizsei stated on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

According to the MEDIAFAX Agency, Mizsei together with Romanian Foreign Minister Adrian Cioroianu have participated in the debates on the role of the civil society in the security in the Black Sea zone organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Crisis Management Initiative in Bucuresti, Romania. The two officials gave a press statement where Mizsei mentioned the importance of the dialogue between the Moldovan and Transnistrian civil societies in settling the conflict in the region. "The Transnistrian region has been isolated from Moldova in 1992. Many efforts have been made to settle the conflict but not enough. Let us hope that this conflict is not going to last another 15 years", Mizsei said. <\/p>\n

He added that for Moldova "which is a small country, the integration is vital, and the primary task is to bolster the EU integration relations". He mentioned that, from this point of view, the next months are going to be "very active". "The European integration helps Moldova be more attractive for the Transnistrian region and, in a way, push it towards a stronger integration. It is a part of our strategy relating to the integration", Miszei highlighted. <\/p>\n
