Chairman of the Committee for Citizens’ Right Protection (CADC), Chairman of the Social-Democratic Party, Eduard Musuc, and Chairman of the Small Business Association (AMB), Eugen Roscovan, were arrested on Monday by police at the end of a protest meeting of patentees they organized in Chisinau. <\/p>\n

Asked by BASA, the lawyer of the two, Ghenadie Tatar, communicated that Musuc and Roscovan are charged with violation of the obligations of protest organizers, which led to the disturbance of public order. "This article provides for sanctioning with an administrative fine in the amount between 20 and 30 minimum wages. The fact that they were arrested by police is illegal", the cited source specified. He added that at the moment a minutes is being drawn up. <\/p>\n

Sources within the General Police Station stated for BASA-press that the people responsible for this case are in a sitting and for the moment cannot provide other information. According to some sources, the organizers of the meeting will be sanctioned on grounds that after the meeting was over, the participants in the protests crossed the street, which led to blocking the main road of the capital, Stefan cel Mare si Sfant boulevard. <\/p>\n

Today, 12 March 2007, in Chisinau, on the square of the National Opera and Ballet Theater, a protest meeting was held by the patentees involving 3.000 people.
