Moldova.ORG — The Republic of Moldova parliament vice-president, Iurie Rosca, shocked the public yesterday in the “In profunzime” show broadcasted on Pro TV. <\/p>\n

The main subject of discussion was the visit of the Moldovan minority representatives from Romania, but much more interesting issues came out during the show. Iurie Rosca, also the president of the Christian Democratic Popular Party, affirmed that he doesn’t regret at all about his “disgraceful vote” at the 2005 elections that determined the Communist Party be a leader again. “Everybody is free to comment as he wishes,” Rosca said. <\/p>\n

The disappearance in 2002 of the deputy Vlad Cubreacov was another subject discussed at the show. Rosca mentioned that he is curious himself where Cubreacov was in that period of time and that he is not accusing the communists of Vlad’s kidnapping. “I had a sufficient abstention not to start a bloody confrontation in that period of crisis,” Rosca said. <\/p>\n

The introduction of the integrated history course in schools was also a hot subject of the show. Rosca surprised the viewers with his declaration that despite the fact his party organized plenty of protest acts against that, he couldn’t “get out and burn the Parliament” when the course was finally introduced.<\/p>\n

The climax of the show was when the journalist Lorena Bogza asked the viewers not to send messages of accusation in Rosca’s address. Apparently, many of the messages were “lightly” censored. Here are some of his shocking statements:
\n1. „It can’t happen to me to be sorry for the communist partnership.”
\n2. “I never declared the communists were involved in Cubreacov’s kidnapping.”
\n3. “If the protests in 2002 didn’t exist, the 2005 partnership wouldn’t exist either. The protests were the response to the government abuses of that time”
\n4. “Our duty is to escape from the European Council monitoring”
