Moldova.ORG — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova (MFAEI), Andrei Stratan, had an official meeting yesterday with the Secretary General of the International Permanent Secretary of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC), Leonidas Chrysantopoulos. <\/p>\n

According to the press service of the MFAEI, they discussed a lot of issues at the meeting. The issues referred to the BSEC-Moldova relations, the BSEC’s development, and to several BSEC projects, particularly to the building of the belt highway around the Black Sea, implementing the agreement memorandum on facilitating the road transport of goods in the Black Sea region and on facilitating the visa procedures for the professional drivers.<\/p>\n

Also, there was reiterated Moldova’s support for the BSEC’s reform. Moldova does its utmost to transform the BSEC into an effective structure for the economic cooperation’s development and strengthen the relations of good neighborhood between the member states. <\/p>\n

A controversial subject was the BSEC’s cooperation with the European Union and the support promoted by the organization for the member states’ advancement in the European integration process.
