Moldova.ORG — The interim mayor of the capital city, Vasile Ursu, was nominated according to a Presidential decree the Minister of Transport and Road Management on January 23rd. That was due to the resignation of the former minister Miron Gagauz, who was dismissed from his function by a Presidential decree. Gagauz didn’t announce his reasons of resignation. <\/p>\n

Vasile Ursu will make his decision today about who will replace him at the scrutiny this spring. Ursu will start working as the Minister of Transportation and Road Management shortly after his nomination. <\/p>\n

\"\"Vasile Ursu was born on August 1st, 1948 in the Ratus village, Criuleni district. His profession is engineer-constructor. <\/p>\n

Education: the College of Construction of Chisinau (1968), the Technical University of Moldova (1975) and the Higher Party School of Kiev (1986).
\nProfessional activity: engineer at the Institute of Designers (1968), the chief of site of "Spetstroimehanizatia" Trust (1969-1972) and of "Chisiniovstroi" Trust (1972-1977), the chief-engineer of the "Jilstroi" Trust (1977-1981).
\nPolitical activity:
\n1981-1983 – Head of division of the Frunze District Committee of the Communist Party of
\nMoldova
\n1983-1986 – Trainer of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Moldova.
\n1986-1991 – Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Ciocana District Soviet
