The railway company of Moldova suspended Tuesday the traffic of the train # 47 Chisinau-Moscow and announced that passengers who bought tickets will be able to travel to Moscow by another two trains. <\/p>\n

"Russian railways have warned that they will block the train # 47 starting November 1, if it does not cross Transnistria," CFM adviser Anatol Tvetcov stated to BASA. He noted that CFM has decided to suspend the traffic of this train on October 31, so that not to be blocked at customs. <\/p>\n

Another two trains, # 341 and # 66 travel to Russia in continuation. "Thus, passengers will be transferred to these routes or may get their money back," Tvetcov added. <\/p>\n

The train # 47 comprises 17 carriages which transport up to 700 passengers a day. <\/p>\n

The Russian railway company has recently warned Moldova that it will suspend the train # 47 if Chisinau opposes the travel of this train through Transnistria. It claims that the redirecting of this train affects the schedule of trains in Russia. According to the Russian side, another two trains fit the schedule. <\/p>\n

Thus situation occurred after the transit traffic through Ukraine was hardened once repairs at the bridge over the Dniester, in the railway section Moghiliov-Podoliskii-Volcinet has started. Passenger trains were redirected to another section with a smaller transit capacity. <\/p>\n

CFM assures that the train # 47 will normally travel again after the opening of the Moghiliov-Podoliskii bridge. <\/p>\n

Ukraine has promised that works at this bridge will be finished on October 29, but it did not open the traffic so far. <\/p>\n

Analysts did not rule out a political nature of this problem – Kiev is trying this way to make Chisinau accept the traffic of trains in the Transnistrian railway section. Chisinau has actually ceded, as transit trains cross Transnistria.
