Switzerland supports Moldova’s efforts to get integrated with Europe and settle the Transnistria conflict peacefully, the Kiev-based Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Moldova Christian Fessler said during his Wednesday’s meeting with Moldovan Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Stratan. Ambassador Fessler is paying his farewell visit to Chisinau, as he is completing the term of his diplomatic mission to this republic. <\/p>\n

The Swiss Ambassador also welcomed Moldova’s decision to cancel entry visas for citizens of Switzerland from 2007, which he believes will enhance the bilateral relations. <\/p>\n

Andrei Stratan appreciated the continuous bilateral political dialog between Moldova and Switzerland and the attention paid to diversification of ties between the 2 states. <\/p>\n

Touching on the strategic objective of Moldova’s – European integration, Andrei Stratan reviewed latest events pertaining to the country’s foreign policy, and reiterated Moldova’s inviolable course for Europe. <\/p>\n
