Germany is willing to strengthen its special relations with the new countries neighbouring the European Union, and it appreciates the Chisinau authorities’ intention to firmly follow the European integration way. Moldovan Speaker Marian Lupu and German Speaker Norbert Lammet, who is on an official visit to Moldova, approached these issues within a today s meeting in Chisinau. <\/p>\n

The Moldovan-German dialogue is regarded as very important. Lupu told journalists that in the context of the European Union s extension, the Moldovan-German relations are getting a very important valence. Germany appreciates Chisinau authorities’ intention to firmly go in European integration way. "The collaboration with Germany will be based on several documents, including a memorandum on interparliamentary relations," Lupu said. <\/p>\n

Lupu informed that they considered the principles of Moldova’s intense collaboration with all the EU countries, especially Germany. "I am sure that the German parliamentary delegation’s official visit to Chisinau will give a fresh to our good relations. Germany understands better than anyone Moldova’s problems", Marian Lupu concluded. <\/p>\n

\"\"Norbert Lammert said he is glad to visit Moldova following an invitation by his Moldovan counterpart. He informed that Germany is willing to strengthen the relations with the new neighbours of the EU, after 2007, when Romania will become a member of the European Union. <\/p>\n

The Berlin-based authorities welcome Moldova’s willingness to adjust its legal framework to the European standards, including the observance of human rights, Norbert Lammert added. "We should not have illusions. There will be many problems on the way towards Europe. Yet, we will find solutions – Germany is Moldova’s supporter," Lammert added. <\/p>\n
