The Moldovan head’s meeting on February 9 with the USA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary has been focused on the last week message by the USA President to the President of the Republic of Moldova, INTERLIK News agency reports with reference to the presidential press service. The American diplomat confirmed his country readiness, pledged in the official message, to render financial assistance to the Republic of Moldova for overcoming its present economic crisis, for promoting reforms and providing for the normal living standard during this period. <\/p>\n

The concrete domains, where technical and financial assistance is needed, have been designated in the course of the discussion. It has been remarked that the allocation of $5 thousand for buying fuel for the needy sections of Moldova’s population is only the first step in this direction. The other projects will be discussed with the representatives of the USA government who are expected to arrive to Kishinev immediately after the formation of the new government. <\/p>\n

Having expressed gratitude for the granted assistance, President Petr Lucinschi has noted that Moldova appreciate very much its relations with the USA and aspirates for their deepening.
