During the active consultationswith parliamentary factions taking place these several days,prime ministerial nominee Serafim Urecheanu has named firstcandidates to his government.<\/p>\n

According to our reliable sources in parliament, Mr Urechean ismentioning the following personalities as potential deputypremiers: Ion Sturza — to be in charge of economy and reformissues, Nicolae Andronic — social problems, Vladimir Ciobanu –agriculture and local self-governance, and Ion Casian — theproduction sector.<\/p>\n

Thus, ‘old men’ Ion Sturza and Nicolae Andronic may remain onthe new list. The other two are new people in the government.Vladimir Ciobanu is still Parliament Secretary, and Ion Casianheads the Moldovan subdivision of the Ericsson company of Swedenwhere he came to after his resignation from the post of Ministerof Communications in the Andrei Sangheli’s and Ion Ciubuc-1governments.<\/p>\n
