Deputy Speaker Iurie Rosca, leaderof the Christian Democratic Popular Front (CDPF) stated on Mondaythat his party is ready to negotiate with premier-designate IonSturza and the Alliance for Democracy and Reforms (ADR) membersthe conditions to set up a new cabinet.<\/p>\n

Rosca insisted that the offices of state minister and financeminister were given to his party. Sturza initially accepted onlytwo CDPF members in the government: the industry minister and thedeputy premier.<\/p>\n

Rosca suggested CDPF Deputy Eugen Garla for the function office offinance minister, Ion Tanase for the office of state minister,Valentin Dolganiuc as deputy premier and Mihai Roscovan as industryand trade minister.<\/p>\n

Rosca said he "was not ashamed" to demand two more posts for hisparty "as the CDPF’s intentions are noble." According to Rosca, theADR could accept the CDPF conditions "at least as a trial for aone-year period," saying the Front ministers would "contribute tohigher tax collections and keep under watch the cabinet’s work."<\/p>\n

Rosca said while explaining the reasons Friday that the "only newelement" in the Sturza cabinet compared to Ciubuc’s one was thatthe Democratic and Prosperous Moldova Bloc (DPMB) "has unmeasurablyenlarged its influence in the key posts of the new government."<\/p>\n

The CDPF leader rejected Speaker Dumitru Diacov’s accusations of"political blackmail" as groundless, saying Diacov should haveresigned when the Ciubuc cabinet was formed because he did notrespect the ADR agreements."<\/p>\n

He declined to predict how the CDPF group would act on Tuesday,when the full parliament meets again over a new cabinet vote.Rosca repeated however that the CDPF would remain a part of theADR.<\/p>\n

Speaker Diacov stated he did not wish to discuss any more cabinetproblems with the "angry" CDPF deputies. Rosca is not in right toclaim more offices for his party because it did not participateindependently in the parliamentary poll last March and receivedmandates as a formation within the Democratic Convention ofMoldova.<\/p>\n
