"President Lucinschi is worried that due to some conflictsfrom the parliament, the creation of Government becomes impossible to achieve",the press service of the Presidency informs.<\/p>\n

Asked by a group of journalists to comment this situation, PresidentLucinschi mentioned that "from the beginning, after the resignation of theGovernment he proceeded in accordance with the Constitution, considering theopinion of the Parliament majority.<\/p>\n

When the candidate proposed by President Lucinschi had great problemswith the Alliance for Democracy and Reforms (ADR) President Lucinschi appointed the candidature of Ion Sturza, who had the support of the ADR andwas proposed by it.<\/p>\n

"To my regret for this time within the Parliament majority appearedconflicts that influenced the Parliament to not grant the trust vote to the activity program and the nominal membership of the Government.It is a paradox that this happened in the situation when the absolute majorityof deputies accept the candidature proposed to the position of Prime-Minister.All these complicate the situation even more, creates uncertainty, takes a lotof time, that is precious when we have to activate, and not discuss endless",declared President Lucinschi.<\/p>\n

He expressed his regret regarding the fact that deputies did not considered the serious situation from Moldova and the suggestions for improvingit expressed on Feb. 3 in the message of the President to the Parliament.Thus the Parliament, practically, does not agree that the situation from thecountry is deplorable and it is necessary to apply some operative andnot ordinary measures.<\/p>\n

"Nevertheless, according to the current legislation, only the Parliamentcan solve the appeared problems. It is necessary for the deputies to beresponsible and to create the Government as soon as possible. It is evident,that members of the Government must be hones, experiences persons, professionals,who can work for good of the state", concluded President Lucinschi.<\/p>\n
