The interlocution between Moldova President Petru Lucinschi and the IMF Mission being in Chisinau on a working visit has been concentrated on relation between the Republic of Moldova and the International Monetary Fund, INTERLIC News agency report. <\/p>\n

Characterizing the course of economic reforms, the head of our state has noted that they are of irreversible character though they have to overcome many impediments, connected with the transition period, Russia’s financial crisis, export slowdown, lack of sales markets for the Moldovan goods. <\/p>\n

Petru Lucinschi has expressed hope that the international financial organizations will continue rendering assistance and support to the RM. <\/p>\n

The head of the Mission Rik Haas has expressed the IMF readiness to this effect. He has welcomed actions by the new government, which are taking a number of measures for replenishing the budget and is intending to install customs posts at the eastern administrative border of Moldova. <\/p>\n
