Petru Lucinschi regrets that the parliament and government set themselves on a collision course with the President, having triggered off a campaign against his initiative to change the governing system in Moldova and carrying out a consultative referendum on this issue. As INTERLIC News agency reports, Moldova’s head Press Secretary Anatol Golea has announced it at briefing. He has noted that Petru Lucinschi is not going to trample upon the rights of the Parliament and he is not intending to curtail the Parliament powers. <\/p>\n

Anatol Golea has said that during his numerous trips all over the republic, the majority of the population spoke out out-and-out for supporting him, people consider it necessary to strengthen the powers and responsibilities of the chief RM statesman for the sake of the withdrawal out of the crisis and the restoration of order. <\/p>\n

Petru Lucinschi pays much attention to the course of the implementation of the Administrative-territorial reform. In his opinion, new statesmen able to extraordinary actions are needed in order to successfully realize the reforms.
