The Moldovan authorities will consider the possibility of bringing an action against Russia in the European Court of Human Rights or in another international court for keeping armed forces and munitions in Moldova. <\/p>\n

This measure is stipulated in the plan of action for using, in the process of reintegrating the country, the conclusions made in the Report “Unfreezing of a Frozen Conflict: aspects of the separatist crisis in Moldova" that was drawn up by the New York City Bar Association. The plan of action was approved by the Moldovan Government on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

At the same time, the Moldovan authorities will appeal to the parliaments of the EU member states and US Congress to hold hearings on the Transdniestrian conflict. The plan also envisages the maintenance of a close dialogue with the EU member states and the US with a view to involving them in the conflict settlement process, as they could economically and politically support Moldova in this respect. <\/p>\n

The UN General Assembly and UN General Council will be asked to include the examination of conflicts in the Black Sea and Caspian Sea basins in the agenda of the 61st session of the General Assembly. \"\"<\/p>\n

The foreign business circles will be sensitized to the consequences of carrying out unsanctioned economic activity in Moldova’s Transdniestrian region. <\/p>\n

Late last May, the New York City Bar Association through its Special Committee on European Affairs sent a group of experts to Moldova to evaluate the situation here, including in the Transdniestrian region. The experts met political leaders from Chisinau and Tiraspol and drew up an ample report on their findings.
