Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova called upon the world community, including OSCE, to strengthen their efforts for the settlement of regional conflicts on the FSU space proceeding from the international standards and the International Law for preserving the territorial integrity of the states and the immutability of the international borders.<\/p>\n

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the GUAM representatives made this statement in Vienna at the OSCE security assessment conference. The Moldovan delegation is led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Eugenia Chistruga.<\/p>\n

A joint declaration formulates GUAM main economic development lines, in particular, energy security and settlement of the conflicts in Transnistria (Moldova), Abkhazia and South Ossetia \u0412 (Georgia) and Karabakh (Azerbaijan).<\/p>\n

In the opinion of the GUAM representatives, such conflicts violate security and stability in the region, undermine sovereignty and territorial integrity of the states, impede European integration process.\u0412<\/p>\n

These are extremely important problems and it is a priority of all the world community to solve them, the declaration’s authors consider and the European Union supports them.<\/p>\n
