Embargo on Moldovan wines introduced by Russia is a subject of political relations. The problems on this aspect appeared because of Chisinau position on Transdnestria question and introduction of the new customs regime on Moldo-Ukrainian border", – said the minister of foreign affairs and European integration Andrei Stratan at Wednesday press-conference. <\/p>\n

Stratan says that Russia should have more constructive position on this question taking into account its desire to become a member of the WTO. Besides, the heads of Moldovan diplomacy says that Russia should "keep in mind the rule of international trade and provide its claims beforehand ". <\/p>\n

Stratan has expressed his hope that all the problems will be solved in dialogue both on economic and political level. In this regard the head of the MFA has noted that the new contract on Russian gas supply to Moldova will have been signed by the end of this week. <\/p>\n

Answering the question of present Moldo-Romanian relations Stratan has noted that, in this regard there are no reasons for worrying as the relations of the two countries are at "a very high level ". <\/p>\n

Referring to the summit of "The Big Eight" to take place in St.Peterburg, Stratan has expresses hope that Transdnestrian question will be included into the agenda.
