\"\"The opening by the Republic of Moldova of an Embassy in Stockholm, with its accreditation for several northern European countries, should promote Moldova’s advancement towards European integration, Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs Carin Jamtin stated during his meeting with Moldovan Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Stratan, who attended the Moldovan Embassy opening this past Monday. <\/p>\n

Carin Jamtin reaffirmed his country’s support for Moldova in matters of the republic’s integration into the European Union. <\/p>\n

The Ministers considered issues of continuation of the bilateral dialog at a new, qualitatively higher level, Moldova’s European integration efforts, and the Transnistrian settlement process, the Moldovan Embassy wrote in its Press Release. <\/p>\n

Minister Stratan held meetings with Swedish Government officials to discuss priorities of the bilateral cooperation with the purpose of promoting Moldovan exports to the Swedish market and attracting Swedish investments into the Moldovan national economy. <\/p>\n

Andrei Stratan made a report in the Swedish Institute of International Relations, describing the EU-Moldova European Neighborhood Policy Action Plan, economy reform, the future of the Moldova-Sweden cooperation in the European integration process. <\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Andrei Stratan went to Finland where he met the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, National Coordinator (since July 2006) of the Finland presidency of the European Union Pertti Torsila. <\/p>\n
