The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht expressed his concern about current problems along the Transnistrian section of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border and has instructed the Organization’s Mission in Moldova to consult all parties with a view to finding a solution, AP FLUX informs referring to an OSCE press release. <\/p>\n

Karel De Gucht considers that the Joint Declaration of the Ukrainian and Moldovan Prime Ministers, made on 30 December 2005, was an important step and, if well implemented, could contribute to an orderly regime of transparency and control along the border. The official expressed his concern about the anxiety of the Transnistrian side concerning the implementation of the Agreement and encouraged the Moldovan and Ukrainian authorities to give the parties concerned all the information necessary to implement the Agreement smoothly. <\/p>\n
