Ukraine has stated it is not going to cancel the new customs regime. Its Prime Minister Yury Yehanurov said here on Monday, "Cargoes from the self-proclaimed Transnistrian Moldovan Republic shall only be let onto our territory against Moldova-issued covering documents. The problem shall be solved in a civilized manner: you have the Moldovan stamp on your documents – we let the cargo go", Yury Yehanurov stated. <\/p>\n

He voiced surprise over the stance of Transnistria’s, and said Ukraine had discussed in detail the new regime with Tiraspol. <\/p>\n

On Monday, Secretary of the Ukrainian Security and Defense Council Anatoly Kinah and Moldovan Prime Minister Vasily Tarlev discussed the situation over telephone. Kinah reaffirmed Ukraine would be abiding by its international commitments to ensure a maximum-possible painless transition to the new customs regime for Transnistrian exports. <\/p>\n
