Chisinau. The Tiraspol authorities did not let a whole number of the Moldovan military to enter the region to attend the marking of the 14th anniversary of the Transnistria<\/font> conflict onset. <\/p>\n

When the visitors from the right Dniester bank arrived at the border-crossing station near Dubossary town, they had to wait for almost 2 hours. Eventually, with the assistance of the OSCE Mission to Moldova and peacekeepers, the question was solved. And, still, the Transnistrians categorically prohibited entry to Chairman of the Dubossary raion Grigore Policinschi and several journalists from the BBC and the ProTV-Chisinau channel. <\/p>\n

Accompanied by OSCE diplomats and peacekeeping officers, only one minibus with 13 conflict vets and several journalists has managed to reach the Moldovan villages of Cocieri, Molovata Noua and Corjova, where armed clashes were particularly fierce in 1992. <\/p>\n

In the center of Cocieri, a massive meeting of conflict participants and local residents took place, and then – a pannychida at the village cemetery to commemorate the war victims.
