The meeting of Moldovan, Ukrainian and Transnistrian experts, scheduled for today in Odessa to further negotiate the new regime of exports and imports of Transnistrian goods across the Moldo-Ukrainian border, has been put off until Wednesday, February 1, on the request of the Moldovan side which asked more time for preparation. <\/p>\n

The agreement to better prepare the new border mechanism was reached at the round of Chisinau-Tiraspol talks last Friday. That disputable economic question took the lion’s share of time at the January 26\/27 negotiations held in the 5 plus 2 format. <\/p>\n

Tiraspol’s chief negotiator, Transnistrian minister of foreign affairs Valery Litkai voiced content with the postponement of regime introduction to let technical experts better scrutinize it.
