Today, on February 12, the debates on the Transnistrian problem will be held at the evening sitting of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, INTERLIK News agency reports. The ORT and the Russian radio confirmed this information. <\/p>\n

Chairman of the Supreme Council of the self-proclaimed TMR Grigory Marakutsa will address the Duma deputies. He tried to do it on February 10, immediately after the speech by Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Dumitru Diacov. The Duma leadership decided to evade the controversy and transferred the speech by the Tiraspol representative. The analysts think that Grigory Maracutsa will try to persuade the Russian parliamentarians in the need for tougher stance towards Kishinev, he will try to muster their support for the Transnistrian regime, INTERLIK News agency reports. <\/p>\n

Besides, as the INTERLIK reporter communicates from Tiraspol, Grigory Maracutsa intends to touch upon the issue of the Basic Moldovan-Russian Agreement. In Moscow he carried out consultations with the Russian politicians and the deputies of the State Duma. The “Olvia-press” agency communicates with reference to sources from the State Duma that the factions of the LDPM, “Grassroots Democracy”, “Russian regions” and the Communists, who came out against them before, are most likely to back them up.
