Pesto Sauce

3 cups basil loosely packed
1/3 cup pine nuts
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
3 cloves garlic chopped
1/2 cup olive oil
salt & pepper to taste
To make pesto, whirl all of the ingredients, expect the oil in a food processor or blender. When everything is well chopped, add the oil in a thin stream to form a smooth paste. If you are using a blender, it may be necessary to pre-chop the herbs and nuts.
