Monasteries in Codru forest
After a trip of an hour we will find ourselves in front of Hancu nunnery which is situated in the heart of Codru. At this very place air and water are pure.
Your guide here will be a nun, we will visit the richly trimmed nunnery, we will pass through a court yard of a nunnery, and the nun will tell us legends about the history of this place, you will have the opportunity to see real life of the Moldovan nunnery.
Then we will visit monastery Capriana. During our way you will pass through some Moldovan villages. The monastery Capriana was Moldova Metropole Premise. It is situated near a village with the same name on the bank of a small lake. During 30 years of communist system the monastery was closed. During this excursion your guide will be a monk, which will lead you through churches of a monastery and will tell to you its history and legends. After the disintegration of USSR the monastery has become a symbol of revival of culture of the Moldovan people.
