2. The place of visa issuance

The Visas are issued by the Diplomatic and Consular Missions of the Republic of Moldova. The short stay visas and transit visas can be also obtained, as exception, at the consular offices from the points of passage of the country frontier («Chisinau” International Airport, Leuseni, Cahul, Sculeni), only in the following cases:

a. in case of emergencies, determined by disasters, natural calamities or accidents;

b. in case of death or severe disease of the close relatives, proved by the relevant documents;

c. in case of staff of certain international organizations that are delegated to accomplish official missions to the Republic of Moldova for a short period of time;

d. in case of participants to international actions organized in the Republic of Moldova, when the period of time between the date of informing the participants and the date of action does not allow obtaining the entry visas;

e. in case of citizens of the countries where the Republic of Moldova does not have diplomatic or consular missions.

• Leuseni (at the point of passage Albita-Leuseni*): non-stop (24/24)

• Cahul (at the point of passage Oancea-Cahul*): every day from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m.

• Sculeni (at the point of passage Sculeni-Sculeni*): every day from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m.
