Chistelnita Monastery in Moldova
Chistelnita Monastery, that celebrated the Saint Voivodes Mihail and Gavriil festival, from Chistelnita village, Telenesti, was found in 1994 next to the church up hill.
In 1992 a musical school was established in the monastery. Because of the lack of space, the school was transferred nearby the Zaharovca village, Telenesti, to a former resting zone, which was arranged for the purpose. Also at that time, a section for teachers was opened.
Saint Archangels Mihail and Gavriil church was built in the 19th century, but during the Soviets domination it was closed and forgotten. A half meter is the breadth of the walls built in stone. It has a small square shaped vestibule, above which the spire of the belfry raises up.
The monastery has a winter church as well with the celebration of Saint Pantelimon festival. There is an entry to this church through the vestibule of Saint Archangels Mihail and Gavriil church. The church has a rectangular shape without any delimitation between the pre-nave and the nave. It is not painted inside, the walls being adorned with icons.
