Air Moldova to launch Chișinău-Geneva flight in December 2017



National airlines of Moldova, Air Moldova, announced about launching a new flight from Chișinău starting from 15 December 2017- Geneva, Switzerland.

Accordingly, the flight will be operated two times a week on Mondays and Fridays: 1.Taking off from Chișinău- 13.00, Landing in Geneva- 14.45; 2. Taking off from Geneva- 15.40, Landing in Chișinău- 19.10.

Air Moldova operates flights to 28 destinations: Athens, Barcelona, Bologna, Brussels, Bucharest, Dublin, Florence, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Krasnodar, Larnaca, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Milano, Moscow, Paris, Rome, Venice, Verona, Vienna, Sankt-Petersburg and Torino, plus the 5 season flights – Antalya, Heraklion, Tivat, Corfu şi Zakynthos.

Air Moldova passengers will be able to travel to 95 more destinations in 44 countries



After a bilateral agreement was signed between Air Moldova and Fly Dubai, Air Moldova passengers will have the opportunity to travel to 95 destinations of 44 countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Passengers will be able to reach destinations such as Thailand, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, India through direct flights Chișinău-Dubai, operated by Air Moldova combined with the segment offered by the low-cost Fly Dubai partner, using the infrastructure of the largest and most luxurious Airport in the Middle East.

Air Moldova operates direct flights to 30 destinations in Europe and Asia such as: Athens, Barcelona, Bologna, Brussels, Bucharest, Dubai, Dublin, Geneva, Istanbul, Ekaterinburg, Florence, Frankfurt, Larnaca, Moscow, Paris, Rome, Venice, Verona, Vienna, Sankt-Petersburg, Tel-Aviv and Turin, plus the seasonal flights – Antalya, Tivat and Sharm el-Sheikh.

Moldova lifts visa requirements for citizens of 33 states



17 January 2018- The Government of Moldova approved a decision of the Foreign Minister Tudor Ulianovschi to lift the visa regime for entering, leaving or transiting Moldovan territory for citizens of 33 states.

The regarded states are:

  1. Antigua and Barbuda,
  2. The Republic of Argentina,
  3. The Federative Republic of Brazil,
  4. Nation of Brunei, the Abode of Peace,
  5. The Republic of Colombia,
  6. The Republic of Costa Rica,
  7. The Commonwealth of Dominica,
  8. Grenada,
  9. The Republic of Guatemala,
  10. The Republic of Honduras,
  11. The Republic of Kiribati,
  12. The Republic of Marshall Islands,
  13. Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis,
  14. The United Mexican States,
  15. The Federal States of Micronesia,
  16. The Republic of Mauritius,
  17. The Republic of Nicaragua,
  18. The Republic of Palau
  19. The Republic of Panama,
  20. The Republic of Paraguay,
  21. The Republic of Peru,
  22. Saint Lucia,
  23. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines,
  24. The Republic of El Salvador,
  25. Independent State Samoa,
  26. The Solomon Islands,
  27. The Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste,
  28. The Kingdom of Tonga,
  29. The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago,
  30. Tuvalu,
  31. The Oriental Republic of Uruguay,
  32. The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
  33. The Republic of Vanuatu.

In addition, citizens of Costa Rica will not need visas for transiting through the Chișinău International Airport.

Seven of the 33 above-mentioned states unilaterally lifted the visa regime for the Moldovan citizens: Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Micronesia, Peru, Panama, St.Vincent and the Grenadines, and Samoa.

On January 20, all winter traditions in Moldova are gathered at “GERAR FESTIVAL”

On January 20th, from 12:00 to 19:00, an unforgettable festival dedicated to the winter traditions and rituals from all corners of our country will take place on the territory of the Milestii Mici Quality Wine Complex.



Besides the benefits of folk groups and folk ensembles and the oldest winter traditions, the program of the festival promises to impress even the most versatile spectator.

12:00 – 12:30 – Santa’s Fanfare

12:00 – 19:00 – Free tasting of the brewery

12:00 – 19:00 – Excursion to the largest wine collection in the world

12:30 – 18:00 – Popular southern, northern and central choices with Christmas carols and shows

15:00 – 15:15 – Parade of Traditions

18:00 – 18:45 – Concert with Igor Cuciuc

Every guest will receive a ceramic cup and can taste some types of beer and even vote for the best recipe. At the end of the event, the organizers will designate the winning recipe and will give prizes to the raffle that will take place at the event.

The festival ticket will also provide an exciting trip, where our talented guides will tell everything about the 1.5 million bottle collection introduced in the Guinness Book of Records – in a few languages – as well as other curiosities about the Milestii Mici winery.

On January 20, from 11:30 until the end of the event, minibuses marked with the “GERAR FEST” sticker will go to the Mileştii Mici winery from the Gaudeamus cinema in Chișinău. The travel price is included in the cost of the ticket.

The event takes place with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova.
