The freedom of expression and information in the Republic of Moldova - 2006
The present report represents a short description of some significant events, which highlighted the state of the Moldovan press during the year 2006 and, according to the opinion of the Independent Journalism Centre, are capable to assess the quality of the freedom of speech and information in the Republic of Moldova.

Media Sustainability Index
In the last few years, there were some positive developments in Moldovan media, but most members of the MSI discussion panel and other media observers criticized the lack of sustainable and well-managed independent media.

STATEMENT on the Moldova draft Law on Freedom of Press
ARTICLE 19, Global Campaign for Free Expression, has been informed that a draft law on Freedom of the Press (the draft Law) is currently being considered by the Moldovan government.

Mass-media and Legislation
The purpose of this study was to analyze the legislation of the Republic of Moldova in the media field, specifically access to information and to identify vulnerable points and problematic provisions from the perspective of international standards, and in light of the experience of other states.
